Based on Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Luxury vehicles based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class are being armored in Bremen since 1985. This includes also the latest model (V222) that was launched in May 2013. Currently the new S500L is armored by TRASCO to the highest levels of ballistic protection in level 7 (formerly B6) and soon level 9 (formerly B7).

The S-Class is the most requested armored Head of State vehicle in the high end market. In more than 25 years of company history over 700 armored sedans and stretched limousines, armored and unarmored, were built by TRASCO. TRASCO's employees are among the most experienced within the industry having armored several generations of the S-class in Bremen, Germany, going back up to the W100 Pullman.

The TRASCO S500L airmatic suspension is equipped with heavy duty air springs and shock absorbers, upgraded suspension and control arms at the front and rear axle.

Auf Grund des Gewichts der gepanzerte Limousine ist das Fahrzeug mit Spezialreifen mit einem erhöhten Tragfähigkeitsindex ausgestattet.

Felgen mit spezieller Konstruktion und erhöhter Tragfähigkeit inklusive Runflat-System für das Fahren mit platten Reifen im Notfall bis zu einer Entfernung von 30 km mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 50 km/h.
